Buy 3 Get 1 Free Deal for VIP Pass for Sea World, Movie World and Wet n Wild Unlimited Entry

Hi, I just saw a deal for the Unlimited entry to 30 June VIP Pass which was buy 3 get one free but I saw in the fine print you have to live in certain postcodes. Can I get this deal?

Important Update

VIP Passes are a promotional pass, with deals that come and go. Some years they sell them for the whole year, others they just have them for a short time. Therefore, terms and conditions change from time to time, so please check Latest Deals at Gold Coast Theme Parks for up to date theme park ticket and pass deals.

Also, note, that VIP Passes are not always the best option for visitors. There are often better value options available to tourists. I recommend checking out the link above to my regularly updated Theme Park Passes Explained page. If you need help working out what you plan to do, or creating your own itinerary, then the Planning Sheets & Resources would be a great place to start.

Continue on for my original answer to this question about the now expired 2012 VIP Pass...

AH... these VIP Value Pack deals do confuse people. The deal you are referring for the so called 2012 VIP Pass (expiry 30 June 2012) to was for Queensland and Northern NSW residents in certain postcodes (2450 – 2490) ONLY.

I am assuming that given your location is Melbourne, then you do not live in Queensland or the postcodes of NSW that this deal covers.

This was basically a "special" offer to buy 4 VIP Passes for the price of 3 for locals, which is a great saving, especially for a family or group in multiples of 4! It is only available directly with MyFun either on their website or by telephone. They refer to it as a VIP Value Pack - it might be better if they called a Locals VIP Value Pack, to avoid the confusion!

If you read the fine print further, you will find that there are some extra fees and charges and if you go to the entrance gate you will pay $10 more per VIP pass than purchasing online.

Deals come and go and this one is a good one for locals, but no good for interstate or overseas visitors.

Interstate and overseas visitors can still buy VIP passes, but you may find a better value deal for tickets, passes or combinations - which are a great way to save money or add in additional attractions or activities for a fraction of the cost.

Over at theme park passes explained page, you will find reviews of current tickets, passes and combos as well as suggestions to help you work out which might suit you best.

You were wise to read the fine print and question it. The ticketing group I recommend for VIP Passes often have exclusive combination tickets and do not charge a booking fee nor a charge for buying tickets using your credit card. That's why I like to use them, and remember it is cheaper to buy your theme park pass online rather than buying at the gate on the day

Cheers

They change the offers all the time - hard to keep up. This latest one was not restricted, but they had a different one for locals. Thanks for sharing. Cheers Annie

Postcode Restrictions for 3 for 1 deals
by: Annie

The information on this page is for last years deal which was post code restricted.

I too have looked on their website and cannot see any restrictions, but we don't have this deal on our ticket desk so you will have to check with them directly. Sorry I cannot help you further. I think you have until end of August 2012 to get this one. Sorry I cannot be more help. Annie

I was interested in this deal too, I have seen the postcode restricted ones before but they are always quite open about that on the website. I cannot see any of that with regards to this deal though, I even went to purchase the tickets to check if they would say you needed ID with proof of address etc on it but there was none of this mentioned anywhere. Can you please tell me where you got your information on this. We are travelling to the Gold Coast soon and were wanting to purchase this deal. I'm sure someone was talking about the fact that they had purchased this deal here Where I live last week and we are not within the restricted postcodes
