Eating out for Christmas dinner is a little less popular than Christmas lunches, but you still need to plan ahead if you want to eat out as there are even fewer places open for dinner on Christmas day than there are at lunchtime. Xmas lunches often have entertainment and visiting Santas, however, Christmas dinners are generally just food! This can be quite an important factor, if you are deciding between whether to go out for lunch or dinner on Christmas Day, Whether you live in the Gold Coast or are just visiting over the Christmas and New Year holidays, planning where to have your Chrissie dinner, researching and booking EARLY helps avoid disappointment and stress! Relative to lunchtime, many restaurants and cafes are closed for dinner on Christmas night, which leaves a much higher demand for those that are open. Bookings are taken ahead of time and many offer buffets (traditional, hot and cold seafood or themed), a set menu or limited choices and usually an all inclusive price. Deposits or full payments are also often required. Below you will find a selection of links to more information about each of the options. I research this topic myself, and pick out the main ones. This list is NOT exhaustive, there will be many I haven't listed. It is an iconic hotel that is worth visiting for the sheer art of it. Lavishly decorated and appointed, events here are very chic and stylish. Expect Christmas dinner at Versace to be decadent, delicious and truly memorable. There are only 2 restaurants at Versace offering Christmas dinner Il Barocco Restaurant and Vanitas. Whilst there are 4 venues for Christmas lunch, it only looks like Kalinda Restaurant will be hosting a Christmas dinner.
