Quick Facts about Coolangatta Whale Watching
Cooly Whale Watch is located in Tweed Heads South in NSW. The boat, called Whale Watcher, is moored at the Coolangatta and Tweed Heads Golf Club on the Tweed River.
From the jetty it is a short trip out of Tweed Heads to the ocean and the whale watching.
One of the advantages of this cruise is that whale watching can start as soon as you get out past the bar at Tweed Heads. iMaking it one of the fastest options to get out to see the whales.
The boat takes about 46 passengers. And the focus of skipper and crew is all about the whales and about giving visitors a great time.
They seem to have a high success rate for finding those whales and other interesting marine animals
In 2005 they saw Migaloo whilst they ran their charters in Port Macquarie, and again in 2009 they enjoyed a fabulous morning with the unique white humpback. It was early in the whale watching season on his migration north for breeding.
Whale watching cruises run from around early June through to late October or early November. Like most cruises you need to be there about half an hour before the cruise departs to check-in, board the vessel and get settled.
Cruises are subject to weather conditions and it is recommended that you book a cruise early in your holiday to allow for changes.
Booking is essential for these tours.
Get in early to avoid disappointment,
especially during school holidays as whale watching tours fill

Coolangatta Whale Watching Videos
Tony & Carol have released some excellent videos of humpback whale watching from their boat Whale Watcher off northern NSW Tweed Coast and Gold Coast. This one is one of my favourite videos of humpback whales because you can really get a feel for how close you can be to the whales on a whale watching trip.
