Where Can I Buy Dreamworld Tickets?

Just about everywhere you go in the Gold Coast someone is trying to sell you tickets to Dreamworld.

Where to get the best deal?

Sometimes you can waste a lot of time looking for the best deal and all you save is a couple of dollars.

Information on theme park tickets and ticket pricing changes regularly, so I have kept information on this page general but useful.

If you already know what you want you can buy your Dreamworld theme park tickets without booking fees or credit card charges.

However, I recommend you know what passes and tickets are available before heading over there, in case you get confused with what's on offer.

Choosing the right tickets and passes can be difficult. It is for that reason, that I created my planning sheets, so you can work out what you want to see and do, and then find the best combinations of tickets and passes for your holiday.

If you haven't already got your copy of the planning sheets, I recommend you grab them now. When you get to the itinerary planning sheets and extra resources, you may find many of your questions about which tickets or passes to buy are answered there.

Locals Versus Visitors - Is The Price The Same?

Dreamworld admission for visitors is mostly the same as for locals.

However, there are some Dreamworld coupons or discounts from time to time that only locals can use.

These deals are less common now we have unlimited entry passes and annual passes.

If you do find or see a Dreamworld discount coupon advertised they usually have restrictions. Most often they are restricted to certain local residential postcodes from around Gold Coast and Tweed areas only.

You will have to prove your residential address using something like your drivers licence. 

If you are visiting the Gold Coast and find a great looking deal on the back of your shopping docket, read the fine print!  Or if you find a great deal on Ebay - check the seller's feedback to find out if these are useable items! And if you see an advertisement with a large discount offered it is most likely with these kinds of restrictions.

For locals Dreamworld coupons can be great savings although they are generally only available for use outside school holidays. We have used these ourselves to buy our Dreamworld tickets! But if you like this park, then the pass options offer the greatest savings and flexibility.

From time to time there are special Locals Only deals.  If they are available, you will find details on the main Theme Park Passes Page. The deals for locals will also highlight any requirements - such as residential postcodes covered, which you will need to be able to verify when the vouchers are redeemed at the theme parks on their first use.

Currently, for Locals there is a discounted Locals Annual Pass but only valid for those who can prove they live in QLD or Northern NSW (post codes 2450-2490). Proof of residency required upon entry.

Dreamworld Discount Tickets

Dreamworld doesn't usually discount their tickets for visitors except for pensioners (Australian with ID only), children, disabled visitors and their carers.

There is a specific Dreamworld discount tickets policy which describes all the terms and conditions for special prices for these groups.

Groups of 20 or more attract a discounted entry price.

I've not found anywhere that gives large discounts for Dreamworld tickets.

I prefer to book online ahead of time to save time in the queues on entry plus tickets are cheaper online than at the gate (they are encouraging you to buy before you go). There are sometimes extra bonuses and merchandise coupons when you book online.

Pre-paid Dreamworld tickets are usually valid for a certain time, make sure to check this, as the price of Dreamworld tickets does change usually once a year and you don't want to get caught out.

Peak & Off Peak Tickets for Dreamworld

In December 2009, Dreamworld introduced peak and off peak tickets. But they scrapped this in subsequent years in favour of the unlimited entry passes. It was probably too complicated to administer. They have certainly been looking to simplify their theme park entry tickets!

Dreamworld Passes

Dreamworld and WhiteWater World Passes have been undergoing an overhaul! I think they are trying to make it simpler... let's hope so. I'll try to cover the main points here!

Dreamworld, WhiteWater World and SkyPoint are all owned by Ardent Leisure (a publicly listed business who also own other properties such as AMF Bowling, Goodlife Health Clubs, d'Albora Marinas etc.). Passes involve either entry to each attraction individually or a combination of all three attractions.

I believe you cannot do Dreamworld justice in a one day visit, because it is so big and there is so much to do. Therefore multi-entry passes are the best option, and work out the best value.

In general, tickets and passes are more expensive at the theme park gates. It is worth buying online ahead of time and printing out your vouchers. Some of the tickets and passes are now available without printing as Mobile Vouchers.

Not only will you save money by buying online before your go, but you also save time at the entry, as you don't have to queue behind people paying for their tickets.

Since they introduced the barcoded vouchers and mobile vouchers, it has made entry to the park on the day much faster.

Which Dreamworld Gold Coast Tickets to Buy

If you are only want to go to Dreamworld for a day, then a single park entry ticket is best. But if you want to go to WhiteWater World and SkyPoint, then a pass is going to be your best value option.

If you are visiting Gold Coast and plan to go to Dreamworld more than once or Dreamworld and WhiteWater World then the Holiday World Passes are great value. Depending on the deals at the time, you may have a choice of 1 day (Dreamworld & WhiteWater World Entry) or 3 and 7 days unlimited entry  (Dreamworld, WhiteWater World & SkyPoint) on consecutive days. These passes are usually the best value.

Please Note: 21 days Passes are no longer available - the unlimited World Passes offer better value for frequent or longer visits.

Families (especially the 2 Adult + 2 Children variety) will find extra savings with the Family versions (when available) of the 1, 3 or 7 Day Passes. These passes are available to ALL visitors to the Gold Coast. You don't have to be a resident of Australia or NZ to take advantage of them.

Children are 3 years to 13 years with under 3s free.*

Dreamworld and WhiteWater World Passes are not valid at the other Gold Coast theme parks of Sea World, Wet n Wild and MovieWorld, but there's no reason you cannot combine the passes for a full 5 park experience!
