Good and Bad Points at DreamWorld
Review of Good and Bad Points at Dreamworld - February 2011
Update & Comments
The points made in this review from February 2011 are good points, and in fact many of the issues have now been addressed.
The process for passes has been streamlined and are handled much faster these day.
Food is always a difficult issue at theme parks and attractions, but Dreamworld in particular has introduced some much healthier options, including a Boost Juice.
It's now much easier to eat healthy food. As to the prices, well, they are usually more expensive than options outside the attractions and I don't think that will change much, sadly.

They suited our children better than Movie World and Wet and Wild as there were many rides that were geared up for the little ones (ie 110cm tall and some even lower).
We also found, as per the original comment, that we had to split up with the children to ensure that each of them got the best out of the day.
What did disappoint us no end was the requirement to transfer our paper (and therefore) temporary world passes into permanent world passes on the day we visited Dreamworld.
We lost over 40 minutes of our day in the line to do this. There was no capacity for it to be carried over to another day when the queue was shorter.
Why, in this age of technology and when each entry booth has cameras, did we have to go through this tedious and slow process?
Same thing at Seaword/Movie World/ Wet and Wild - the queues for this process were excessive AND they refuse you entry on the temporary pass after 5 uses.
It basically becomes void so therefore invalid.
Words cannot describe the frustration we felt about this process for both of the 'world passes'.
Staff were not at all sympathetic or interested in suggestions on how to streamline the process.
Also, food at all parks is excessively priced and most of it is deep fried and unhealthy.
There are prepacked sandwiches/wraps but you are restricted to a limited selection of 'their choice'of fillings. ie $9.00 for a sandwich (albeit a large sandwich but still!! - $9.00)
After going to all 5 parks over the last couple of years Dreamworld & WhiteWater World was better suited for a family comprised of Mum and Dad, child aged 5/6 and another aged 7/8. Review by TM of Canberra - February 2011
