The Holiday Inn hotel in Surfers Paradise used to be known as Surfers Paradise ANA Hotel. In 2007 it was refurbished. It carries 4½ star rating and offers good value for visitors. This hotel in Surfers is most suitable for couples, singles or families with children old enough to be in interconnecting rooms. It is a popular choice for weddings, conferences and business visitors because of the great conference and business facilities. There are no specific childrens facilities at this hotel. However, to entice families with children, they offer: children under 12 eat free from the children's menu and children under 19 stay free in existing bedding when accompanied by an adult. It is important to make sure you are within the room limits for this to apply.

The swimming pool and spa are on the southern side of the building and therefore are quite shaded especially in the winter months. Whilst this can be good for avoiding the harsh Australian sun, in can mean it is not so inviting in the cooler weather!

Nightlife, restaurants, shopping and some local attractions are within walking distance. These can be found mainly in the Elkhorn Avenue, Orchid Avenue and Cavill Mall areas.

My main tip for Holiday Inn Surfers Paradise is that the rooms on the northern side of the hotel are more sunny with views over the local area including Adrenalin Park just a block away. Personally, I like that, but you will also find that they are probably much warmer in the summer months with all that afternoon sun!
