How To Get From Jupiters in Broadbeach To DreamWorld
by Githa
How can I get there and how long will it take to get from Broadbeach to DreamWorld and MovieWorld? Can I get a detail map of Gold Coast? Thank you. GS Annie answers Okay, there are a few ways to get from Jupiters Hotel in Broadbeach to the Gold Coast theme parks Movie World and DreamWorld. The three main ways are: Using public transport Get a shuttle bus from your hotel to the theme parks Hire a car and drive yourself If you follow the links above you will see I have expanded the answers for each one below. Driving yourself will take approx 20 to 30 minutes, shuttle buses take approximately 40 minutes to an hour and public transport takes about 40 minutes to an hour once you have caught the bus, but you will have to walk to the bus stop. You can buy detailed maps of the Gold Coast when you arrive, or you can use GPS in a hire car. If you have a phone that has internet access such as an iPhone, try Google maps. I personally use it for just about everything. Check out maps.google.com.au for the Australian version. Read on down for the transfer information. Shuttle Bus Transfer Options For Dreamworld and Movieworld The easiest option is to get a shuttle bus to pick you up directly from your hotel. You can book them online and pick the date and number of passengers and then give the pick up location as your accommodation. Most Gold Coast theme park shuttle buses pick up from all the major accommodations from Coolangatta in south to Sanctuary Cove in the north. Broadbeach almost in the centre of the Gold Coast and is very well looked after. Travel time on a shuttle bus will depend a bit on how many other stops they have to make after they pick you up. Gold Coast theme parks open at 10am so they will get you there nice and early so you can enjoy the parks for the maximum time. Even though the travel time from Jupiters in Broadbeach is probably between 20 and 30 minutes, on a shuttle bus you are likely to be on the bus for 40 minutes to an hour each way because of the pick ups. My favourites for shuttle transfers are: Gold Coast Tourist Shuttle - offer one price theme park transfers and family options (2 adults and 2 children) combinations and Gold passes for travel Con-x-ion - they offer early, mid and late theme park transfers from Gold Coast hotels, as well as combinations and airport transfers. They offer family packages. Drive Yourself To Dreamworld and Movieworld If you are comfortable driving on the Gold Coast then hiring a car can be more convenient, faster and often about the same cost as the return transfers for a day of hire (that depends on the type of car you hire etc). At the Gold Coast theme parks the parking is free and there is lots of it. Driving yourself gives you more flexibility to come and go when it suits you, which can be useful if you are travelling with small children. I personally use East Coast car rentals, they have offices at the Gold Coast and Brisbane Airports and in Surfers Paradise they have a great new building that is easy to find. Their prices are good, cars are new, reliable and I have not had any problems with them, the only downside is that all their cars are white! So if you don't want to hire a white car - then not for you! From Jupiters it will take you between 20 to 30 minutes to drive to MovieWorld at Oxenford or Dreamworld at Coomera. Both are on the Pacific Motorway and are very well signposted, or you can hire a GPS with your car to make it even easier! Let me know if you want directions. Public Transport Transfer Options For Dreamworld and Movieworld Using public transport, you can get to both these theme parks. Jupiters is conveniently placed near the public bus route. You will find more information about which buses to catch on this page where I answered a question recently for someone else travelling to Dreamworld using public transport. Summary Phew! That was an epic but I hope I have given you some ideas of the transport options for getting from Jupiters at Broadbeach to Gold Coast theme Parks MovieWorld and Dreamworld.
