We are a newly married couple and planning our honeymoon in Gold Coast.

We are planning to visit in early June.

Do you think this is the best time to go to Gold Coast?

If you have to choose between Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast which is the best place?

I am a bit biased, I love the winter months in the Gold Coast. There is plenty to do in June on the Gold Coast

There are also lots of romantic things to do on a honeymoon in the Gold Coast - but it always depends on what you are looking for. Some people like to relax on the beach, others might like to bush walk in the hinterland and others may want to surround themselves in 6 star luxury at a resort like Palazzo Versace.

When people ask about the best time to visit, they are more often asking about the weather. Unfortunately, no one can really predict the weather so you need to be prepared. On my web pages about June you will find more about the average weather you can expect to give you an idea.

Compared to Melbourne, it should be warmer and will probably be a little more humid at that time of the year. But we can always get wild weather.

The sunshine coast is a little further north and is a bit more tropical, it will be a few degrees warmer and also more humid than the Gold Coast.

Like the Gold Coast, honeymooning on the Sunshine Coast will depend on what things you want to do. If you have enough time, you could taste a little of both!
