VIP Pass Entry Questions

I have just purchase VIP Pass tickets and printed out the vouchers. I have some questions:

a) I do not understand... Go straight to Turnstiles front Page Not Valid Entry?

b) Do I have to go somewhere when I arrive at Gold Coast to exchange this confirmation with tickets?

c) Can I fill in the Season Pass Agreement prior to arrival and scan the form and email back to you before my departure from my home country?

d) Do all the guests need to fill in the agreement or just one person will do?

e) Can I produce a photo-copy of my travel document / Passport which require as proof of ID at the park entrance.

f) Is this proof just for one time only?

General VIP Pass Information And Procedures Update

Whilst this question is about entry procedures once you have purchased your VIP Passes, here is some important information if you have not yet purchased your passes. Also, the procedures are changing slightly, with the introduction of mobile vouchers. All these innovations are designed to help speed up the process at the gates and get you into the theme parks faster. On the first visit, it may take a little time to process, but after that, each entry will simply be by the VIP Pass card you are issued.

VIP Passes are a promotional pass. Each year they bring out a new version with a slightly different name, but they generally have VIP Pass in the name.

VIP Passes are for the three theme parks: Movie World, Sea World & Wet n Wild. Unlimited entry until 30 June of the following year. They are usually released around June for the following year.

Deals come and go, some years they sell them for the whole year, others they just have them for a short time. And, terms and conditions change from time to time, so please check Latest Deals at Gold Coast Theme Parks for up to date theme park ticket and pass deals.

Also, note, that VIP Passes are not always the best option for visitors. There are often better value options available to tourists. I recommend checking out the link above to my regularly updated Theme Park Passes Explained page. If you need help working out what you plan to do, or creating your own itinerary, then the Planning Sheets & Resources would be a great place to start.

I will try to answer the questions, please understand that these answers are general guidance. Please use my contact form to contact me so I can make sure that I have answered these questions suitably for you or if you have any more questions.

QUESTION a) I do not understand... Go straight to Turnstiles front Page Not Valid Entry?

RESPONSE This simply means that the front page is for your records only. The second page with the bar coded sections is what you need for entry. These bar codes are scanned to keep track of valid ticket vouchers and these also help speed up the processing on the day. You need to make sure you have the barcode page with you.

QUESTION b) Do I have to go somewhere when I arrive at Gold Coast to exchange this confirmation with tickets?

RESPONSE VIP Pass Vouchers are redeemed at the first Gold Coast theme park you visit (Sea World, Movie World or Wet n Wild). They are exchanged for a VIP Pass with your photograph on it. Your details are verified via your passport that you must bring with you to this first visit. They will take a photograph of you and then create the pass for each visitor. Therefore each visitor must bring their passport for overseas visitors or suitable Photo ID for Australian visitors AND filled in Season Pass Agreement. When you attend your next park, you just need to bring your VIP Pass.

QUESTION c) Can I fill in the Season Pass Agreement prior to arrival and scan the form and email back to you before my departure from my home country?

RESPONSE EVERYONE needs to fill in a Season Pass Agreement. It needs to be brought to the theme park on the first day with your voucher and passport or id.

QUESTION d) Do all the guests need to fill in the agreement or just one person will do?

RESPONSE YES, everyone needs to fill in a Season Pass Agreement.

QUESTION e) Can I produce a photo-copy of my travel document / Passport which require as proof of ID at the park entrance.

RESPONSE I am seeking clarification on this. I would say you probably have to take your Passport, but you only have to do this the once. They take your photo and then issue the VIP Pass which you use for entry to the other parks. I believe a clear photocopy of your passport would be acceptable, however to make sure there are no problems I would personally take my passport.

QUESTION f) Is this proof just for one time only?

RESPONSE Yes, you only need to bring your id or passport once, as they issue you with a photo VIP Pass to use when you make your entries at the other theme parks.

I hope these answers help with your questions, if you contact me I can clarify the other question, but I need more information to help you with that one.

Cheers

RE: Can't remember what we pay monthly
by: Annie

For those monthly subscriptions you should check your bank or credit card statements, and/or you will have to contact Theme Park directly for details as we don't have those kinds of tickets. Sorry I cannot help further.

Special Entry Lines For Dreamworld Passes
by: Annie

In answer to the question about Special Entry Lines for Dreamworld Season Passes.

The first time you use a Season Pass, you will need to get a photo taken and a card made up for future entries. This process has been streamlined for those who purchase ahead of visit (plus it is cheaper to buy online before you go).

If you pre-purchase passes and receive a voucher with a barcode to print out or use on your mobile device, they are scanned on entry and the rest of the process is quite simple.

If you want to purchase at the gates, it usually takes longer as only some of the entry booths are for taking payments and these queues take longer.

Once you have your actual pass, each time you enter the theme parks, you just need to scan your card for entry and there are special queues for this option. Since it is just scanning, they tend to be quite quick.

I hope that answers your question, if you have any more questions, just ask.

Skipping Lines
by: Annie

The VIP Pass is just for entry, you do not get any special privileges for rides.

There was a trial for a Fast Track a few years ago, but I don't believe it is in place in these theme parks.

For your children, I think the issues are mainly around the age of children. If you are going to be taking in children under 3 and therefore free, you may need to prove their age, especially if they are close to 3 years old. Also, for the children that are older, over 13 years have to pay Adult prices.

At the moment (September 2015), the prices for passes are same for children as adults. If your children are in the older category, most children have school id cards and these are okay. If not, then Medicare Card is probably the next best option - the airlines accept that!

Hope that helps, let me know if you need any help choosing the right passes and options. You can contact here

Does a VIP magic pass allow us to skip the queues for rides once inside? And I don't have photo ID for my children - will a Medicare card do?
