Visiting in September School Holidays

We are planning to visit the Gold Coast theme parks in September/October. NSW and QLD holidays do not overlap this year, however we will have to visit whilst one of the states is on holiday. Is it less crowded to visit during the NSW, OR QLD holidays?

ANNIE'S ANSWER
During the September school holidays where NSW and QLD holidays don't overlap you will find it is likely to be reasonably busy during the whole period. However, it certainly won't be anywhere as busy as when both states are on holidays.

Queensland schools are on holidays for the first two weeks and then the NSW schools are on holiday for the latter two weeks in this holiday period.

It would be hard to say which will be busier at Gold Coast theme parks, but as I said, the parks certainly won't be at their peak load.

You may find that there are school groups from Queensland schools at the theme parks during the NSW holiday period, so that might sway you towards the September timeframe when Qld are on holidays.

It is so hard to predict exactly how busy it will be as it always seems to depend upon so many factors.

September and October are great months to visit the Gold Coast and especially the theme parks as it is usually warm, but not too hot.
