Accommodation and Christmas Lunch on the Gold Coast

by Sarah

I'm trying to arrange accommodation and Christmas lunch on the Gold Coast for my family.

We want to stay for 5 days from just before Christmas and be close to the beach AND be able to have Christmas lunch where we are staying.

Lunch needs to be appropriate for our 11 year old. Help would be appreciated! Thank you, Sarah

There are many options for accommodation on the Gold Coast. What I will do is suggest a couple for you to check out. If those are not suitable you can let me know what you liked and didn't like about each and then I can then suggest other options.

Sea World Resort: In Main Beach, away from the main hustle and bustle of Surfers Paradise, but right next to Sea World Theme Park and a walk across the road to the Spit beach – which is usually quite quiet. Resort has its own water park! There are rooms available when I looked and they have a few different restaurants. Sea World Resort for more information.

Mantra Legends: In Surfers Paradise, close to the beach and walking distance to main parts of Surfers Paradise, nice facilities. They have a restaurant called Fables where they are having a Christmas lunch buffet style etc I think it is about $145 for adults and $50 for your 11 year old (please check these numbers as can change) for the Christmas lunch 2010. Mantra Legends Hotel more information.

Crown Towers: In Surfers Paradise, a short stroll to the beach and central Surfers Paradise, a great resort with facilities. I tried to find out about their Christmas lunch package for you, but they have a couple of restaurants so I would imagine they will be putting something on. If you are interested I will chase it up for you. More information on their website: Crown Towers Resort

That’s probably enough to keep you going. When I looked at availability and prices these all were below $1500 AUD for the 5 days stay - please remember it will depend on the rooms you want and can change, this is just a guide.

If you have any more questions, use my contact form.

Christmas accommodation bookings in Gold Coast get very busy from late September onwards, so I highly recommend you book in quickly when you find what you are looking for.

Hope that helps;-)

Cheers

Christmas lunch on the Gold Coast
by: Anonymous

Vibe Restaurant at Hope Island is open for Christmas Lunch from 11:30 till 4:00pm. Not sure if they have any space available, but you could try.

They are having a seafood buffet, also with Roast turkey, Beef etc. I think the price is $120.00 for adults, with children under 6 free.

Annie Edited: Thanks for that, I shall add to the new page I am creating about 2010 Christmas in Gold Coast

Thanks for those additional options. Burleigh and Varsity Lakes are good options.

That is great information. There are a few places doing Christmas Lunches, but some places do not, so it is always good to know the ones that are. Great price point too.
Thanks for your comments

The Burleigh Heads Tavern is doing a set menu for $89.00 per head (adult) and the Varsity Lakes Tavern is doing a smorgasboard of cold and hot meats incl seafood etc for $75.00 per head children cheaper of course. I'm in the same situation as far as christmas lunch.
