Family Deals For Gold Coast Theme Parks - Movie World, Sea World and Dreamworld
What is the best package for my family (2 adults and 3 kids, 11-14 yrs) for the 3 theme parks above. We plan to arrive at the end of August.
We are staying at the Hilton Suites and we would also like to rent a car to go around for the 5-6 days.
It is quite a common question but unfortunately there is no deal that includes Dreamworld, Sea World and Movie World as they belong to two different companies.
The box to the left has some of the best deals available right now.
I have answered this question for the conditions at the time, however, theme park tickets and deals change all the time. For a full range of options and current deals, check out the latest family deals and explanations for theme park passes

I'll try to explain it by separating out the offers so you can work out what works best for you.DreamWorld and Whitewater World OptionsDreamworld
and its water park - Whitewater World have single entry tickets, annual passes and World Passes (covering entry to both "worlds").
They used to offer Family Passes but those are now only available for the Holiday World Pass which is unlimited entry to both "worlds" for 21 days. Holiday Passes are available to locals and overseas visitors to the Gold Coast.
Prices change and so do the deals, so check out the latest ticket deals shown in the box on this page.
You can pre-purchase Dreamworld and Whitewater World Tickets saving you time when you arrive at the park and the prices online are generally cheaper than at the gate. SeaWorld, MovieWorld and Wet n Wild Theme Park OptionsSeaWorld
, MovieWorld and Wet n Wild are owned by the same company and they have combination passes covering the three theme parks. Unfortunately, they do not have any family deals.
There are two main types of combo passes for all three theme parks, VIP Pass (which is only available for a limited time each year) and Super Pass.
Both offer unlimited entry to the three Gold Coast theme parks the VIP Pass until June 30 and the Super Pass for a 21 day period.
When the VIP Pass is available it is the best value option, however it is not always available. To find the best deals check out the current theme park deals and pass options
, which includes explanations. Hiring A Car In Gold Coast
Hiring a car, if you are happy to drive on the Gold Coast, is a great idea! There is free parking and plenty of it at all the theme parks on the Gold Coast, though you might have to check with your accommodation if there is free parking at the hotel, especially in the centre of Surfers Paradise.
Hiring a car is often cost effective when you have a family, as the cost of theme park transfers
can soon add up!
I have a whole section on car rentals in Gold Coast
so check that out for more information and tips. You can either pick your car up at the airport when you arrive or once you have settled into your accommodation there are quite a few options close by in Surfers Paradise. If you are looking to save some money, but still have a good car, East Coast Car Rentals is worth a look.
To really plan out your trip, you should consider working through the Planning Sheets & Resources
to help you work out exactly what you want to do.
You will find it covers many of these aspects of planning your trip. It makes it so much easier to select the right deal for you and your family for your holiday and make sure you don't miss anything!
I hope that covers your questions, please let me know if you need any more assistance with this by leaving a comment below. Have a great holiday...
