Gold Coast Honeymoon - Honeymooning on Queensland's Gold Coast

Honeymoon Photos are precious memories of your honeymoon.

It is the memories of your honeymoon that will last. So make sure it is memorable for the right reasons!

A memorable honeymoon includes lots of activities in different locations. Take lots of photos. Shoot lots of video! But most of all make sure you get it with all the fabulous scenic and memorable backgrounds.

Honeymoons are such an individual experience, and there is so much on offer on the Gold Coast that I couldn't begin to give you all the reasons to spend your honeymoon in the Gold Coast.

However, I do see a need to point out some of the romantic honeymoon:

I feel a little qualified to give some ideas because my husband and I honeymooned twice! Two years in a row! Once at Disneyland Paris and once in a tropical paradise in Tahiti! Almost as different as it can be! So why am I qualified to talk about honeymooning on the Gold Coast?

A Gold Coast honeymoon is almost like mixing those two alternatives into one location!

Honeymoon Gold Coast Accommodation And Packages

Many Gold Coast hotels have honeymoon packages, you just need to check with them. Some of the best Gold Coast hotels for honeymoons are:

  • Marriott Surfers Paradise - Away from the real hubbub of Surfers Paradise, but still close. Fantastic pool and facilities.
  • Palazzo Versace - in the Marina Mirage precinct of Main Beach. 6 star luxury! The ultimate in decadent honeymooning. Even if you don't stay here, put a meal here or afternoon tea on your list of things to do.
  • Hyatt Sanctuary Cove - Resort style hotel, well away from the riff raff in Surfers Paradise. Walking distance to Sanctuary Cove village.
  • Crown Plaza - Between Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach, a pretty standard hotel, but has a good honeymoon package.

If you don't want to stay in the heart of the Gold Coast, other romantic Gold Coast honeymoon accommodation includes:

Top Romantic Activities, Tours and Trips

What makes romance? You do! But a great backdrop helps. All these suggestions are places where I think the scenery is spectacular. Will it be romantic? It depends upon you!

Remember, you will be showing your kids photos of your honeymoon. A fantastic natural setting is timeless!

  • Lamington National Park & Springbrook National Parks - various tours go from the Gold Coast for the day, including hikes and picnic lunches by waterfalls.
  • Tangalooma Island - Day Trip or Stay - check out my day trip story. I don't need to say much more!
  • Deep Sea Fishing trip - there is something so honeymoon about a couple going game fishing together. Perhaps it is just me!

And for after dark to add that really romantic feeling:

  • Broadwater Sunset Cruises - variety of cruises either in the early evening or including a dinner cruise
  • Romantic Gondola Ride - you can enjoy a gondola ride around the Broadwater with or without meal.
  • SkyPoint Observation Deck (QDeck) - Observation Deck on Top of Q1, especially fantastic at night
  • Jupiters Casino - check out the gaming tables, eat a meal in one of the restaurants or take in the latest show.

And these two are more aimed at those Gold Coast honeymoon visitors from overseas who want a really Australian memory:

  • Australian Outback Spectacular Show. It will give you a really fabulous Australian show all about outback Australia.
  • Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Night Tour - You can go during the day and also for the night tour and you won't be doubling up. The night tour you can often get your photo taken with Koala without having the big queues during the day. And needless to say there are lots of nocturnal Australian animals to see! Fantastic.
