New Year's Eve is celebrated in Australia on 31 December each year. The next day (1 January) is a public holiday, so it is a great excuse to party the night away, countdown to the new year and generally have fun!

The Gold Coast is fabulous at New Year because it has a good selection of :

As it gets closer to Christmas and New Year there will be more information about the general celebrations. But if you are looking to join one of the more formal events then I highly recommend booking in early. You may also find some other special events such as party cruises.

You may find that the hotel or accommodation you are staying in offers special events but only for hotel guests. I know that is true at Paradise Resort.

Aussie's love to party - so New Years Eve is the biggest party night!
