The Friendly Orca Restaurant ReviewedWhat they say about themselves
I have only ever had lunch at The Friendly Orca restaurant in the Aqua building. Lunch was quite reasonable and tasty, I had garlic prawns and rice, and the service was okay, but not outstanding. The location is fantastic. The restaurant is bright and not too overcrowed with tables. The restaurant is the first of the Aqua restaurants when approaching the building from the south and has an outlook over Marine Parade to the Broadwater. Personally, I found the menu tried to cover too much. Perhaps they feel they need the variety to compete with the other restaurants in Aqua? If you don't like seafood you can easily eat well in this restaurant. Overall comment about the restaurant is that the food is good. I didn't feel it had a lot of atmosphere and the service was slow. There is little identity with the name the Friendly Orca restaurant. Breakfast seems the oddity for a seafood restaurant – but it does seem to be popular for breakfast so they must be doing something right.
