About Gold Coast 600 Surfers Paradise

Gold Coast 600 is the major motor sport event in Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast each October. It was previously the Gold Coast Indy until it was replaced starting with the 2009 season.

The new format has a shorter race track and is run as a 3 day carnival. Instead of Indy cars and Australian V8 Super Cars, the new motor sport race has just the V8s. You will see General Motors Holden and Ford V8s battle it out for supremacy!

With the new format the V8 Supercars now take centre stage. This is the longest longest distance raced all year by these cars outside of the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 which was held at the beginning of October each year.

Gold Coast 600 Ticket Information

Tickets for the event are usually available from several months before. All tickets include entry to any same day concerts, entertainment and the alcohol-free Family Zone.

There are various ticket options including:

• General Admission can be purchased as Friday Pass, Saturday Pass, Sunday Pass, Weekend Pass or 3 day Pass.
• Grandstand tickets - which get you access to various levels of grandstand depending upon what you buy (Platinum, Gold or Silver)
• One day tickets (prices are different on each day)
• Weekend tickets
• 3 day ticket passes
• Pit Lane Walks - you can pre-purchase a pit lane walk tickets for any of the three days, these are scheduled to run at certain times.

Gold Coast 600 Surfers Paradise Parking And Transport

Parking information hasn't been released as yet, but in previous years there was a park n ride at Parkwood Showgrounds which brought racegoers into the Main North Gate and one at Carrara Stadium that brought those racegoers into the Main South Gate.

Helicopter and water taxi transfers were also available in previous years.

There is no parking in the event precinct and parking restrictions will apply to surrounding areas, probably 2 hour parking only.
